Our story

Welcome to Alchemani.

Founded by Dharini, an alumna of IIM Lucknow and DTU, Alchemani was born from a deep and lifelong appreciation for India’s art, culture and craftsmanship — and a simple thought: why should jewellery inspired by our heritage be reserved only for special occasions?

The name Alchemani brings together two ideas close to our heart: Alchemy, meaning transformation, and Mani, meaning jewel. Together, they represent the transformation of jewels — reimagining India’s rich artistic traditions into contemporary pieces designed for everyday wear.

But transformation, to us, goes beyond jewellery.

We believe the milestones worth celebrating have changed. While birthdays, anniversaries and other big occasions will always matter, life is also shaped by the quieter victories that happen in between.

Reading consistently. Completing a difficult hike. Taking your first solo trip. Choosing yourself a little more. Building a habit you once struggled with. Taking one small step towards something that matters to you.

We call these our everyday alchemical moments — ordinary moments that, little by little, transform us.

Because every time we work towards something that matters to us, we become a little more ourselves. And over time, those choices, experiences and small acts of courage shape each of us into something truly one of a kind.
