Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of alchemani.in (the "Website") and to every purchase you make from us. The Website is owned and operated by Daesa, A-3/155 Paschim Vihar, New Delhi 110063, trading as Alchemani ("Alchemani", "we", "us", "our"). By using the Website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms. Please read them along with our Shipping Policy, Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy, and Privacy Policy, which form part of these Terms.

1. Eligibility

To place an order, you must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract under Indian law. If you are under 18, you may use the Website only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. Our products

  • Alchemani pieces are demi-fine jewellery: a metal base finished with layers of plating. Plating is durable, but it is not permanent. How long it lasts depends on how often the piece is worn, and on contact with water, perfume, sweat and chemicals. Please follow the care instructions supplied with your piece.
  • Many of our pieces are finished by hand, so small variations in colour, enamel, texture and size are part of their character. These variations are not defects.
  • We photograph our pieces as accurately as we can. Colours may look slightly different depending on your screen and on lighting.
  • Product weights and dimensions are approximate.
  • All Alchemani pieces are made in India.

3. Prices

  • All prices are in Indian Rupees (₹). The price shown on a product page is the final price of that piece.
  • Shipping charges and any Cash on Delivery fee, where they apply, are shown separately at checkout before you pay. Shipping charges are explained in our Shipping Policy.
  • We may change prices at any time. The price that applies to your order is the price shown at the time you place it.
  • Sometimes a product may be listed with a wrong price or description. If that happens, we may cancel the order and give you a full refund, even if it has already been confirmed.

4. Orders

  • When you place an order, you are offering to buy the product. A contract is formed only when we dispatch the order or confirm it in writing.
  • We may refuse or cancel any order, for example if the product is unavailable, we cannot deliver to your address, we suspect fraud or misuse, or there is an error in pricing or in the listing. If you have already paid, we will refund you in full to your original payment method.
  • You may cancel an order of ready-to-ship pieces any time before it is dispatched, for a full refund. Once an order has been dispatched, our Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy applies.

5. Made-to-order pieces

Some pieces are made only after you order them. These take up to 25 days to produce and ship. You may cancel a made-to-order piece free of charge within 24 hours of placing your order. You will get a full refund to your original payment method within 7 business days. After 24 hours, production of your piece begins, and made-to-order pieces can no longer be cancelled. This does not affect your rights if the piece arrives damaged, defective or different from what you ordered.

6. Payment

  • Payments are processed securely by our third-party payment and checkout partners. Accepted methods include UPI, cards, net banking and wallets.
  • We do not store your card details.
  • Your use of these services is also subject to the partners' own terms.
  • Cash on Delivery (COD) is available on eligible orders. It may be limited by order value or pincode, and any COD fee is shown at checkout before you place the order.
  • We may ask you to verify a COD order by OTP, phone, WhatsApp or email before we dispatch it. If we cannot verify the order, we may cancel it.
  • Refunds on COD orders are made by UPI or bank transfer to an account you nominate.
  • If you repeatedly refuse COD deliveries, we may limit future orders to prepaid payment only.

7. Discount codes and offers

  • Unless stated otherwise, you can use only one discount code per order, codes cannot be combined with other offers, and each code can be used once per customer.
  • Codes have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for cash or refunded.
  • Codes may have an expiry date, a minimum order value, or other conditions, which we tell you when we issue the code.
  • If you return an order that used a discount, your refund is the amount you actually paid.
  • We may cancel or adjust an order that uses a code in breach of its conditions, for example through duplicate accounts or false contact details.
  • We may change or withdraw any offer at any time.

8. Shipping, returns, exchanges and warranty

The following are explained in our separate policies, which form part of these Terms:

  • delivery, timelines and shipping charges (Shipping Policy),
  • returns, refunds and exchanges (Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy), and
  • our plating warranty and replating service.

Ownership of, and risk in, a product pass to you on delivery.

9. Your account and information

  • You agree to give us accurate information, including your name, address, email and phone number.
  • If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for all activity on your account.
  • We handle your personal information as described in our Privacy Policy.

10. Reviews, votes and content you share

  • When you post reviews, photos, votes or comments, or tag us on social media, you confirm that the content is yours and is lawful.
  • You give us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to use, reproduce and display that content to promote Alchemani, with credit to you where practical.
  • We may remove any content at our discretion.
  • Votes and feedback on designs help guide our decisions. They do not create any obligation to produce a particular piece.

11. Intellectual property

All content on the Website belongs to Alchemani or its licensors and is protected by law. This includes our designs, product names, photographs, text, graphics, logos and the Alchemani name. You may not copy, reproduce or commercially use any of it, or copy or reproduce our jewellery designs, without our written permission.

12. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Website, attempt to gain unauthorised access to it, interfere with its operation, use automated tools to collect its content, place fraudulent orders, or use it for any unlawful purpose.

13. Third-party services and links

The Website relies on third-party services such as hosting, payments, checkout and couriers, and may link to other websites. We are not responsible for the content, policies or performance of third parties beyond what the law requires.

14. Limitation of liability

  • To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to a product or order is limited to the amount you paid for that order.
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
  • Nothing in these Terms limits any right you have as a consumer that cannot be limited under Indian law, including under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

15. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify Alchemani against claims, losses and expenses that arise from your breach of these Terms or your misuse of the Website.

16. Events beyond our control

We are not responsible for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control. These include courier disruptions, natural events, strikes, government action, and technical outages.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. We will always try to resolve concerns with you directly first. Subject to your rights under consumer protection law, the courts at New Delhi have jurisdiction.

19. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The version published on the Website when you place an order applies to that order.
